NEW SIGNING: Lee Connelly
The club is pleased to announce the signing of forward Lee Connelly on a one-year deal.
The 24-year-old began his career at Queen’s Park before moving to Sunderland as a teenager. He was given his Black Cats debut by ex-Bully Wee captain Jack Ross in 2018 and made four appearances for the first team, before having two loan spells at Alloa Athletic.
Lee returned to Scotland in 2021 and signed for Queen of the South. He netted 24 times for the Doonhamers over the last three years, including a goal against The Bully Wee after just 20 seconds on the opening day of the 2022-23 season.
Ian McCall spoke to the official website about Lee put pen to paper:-
“Lee is a really talented and off the cuff player who gives us another good option at the top end of the pitch. He can play anywhere along the front line and also as a second striker.
“He’s spent a few years at Queen of the South at a higher level and had a great season when they were in the Championship. He has an abundance of creativity in his locker and I’m sure the fans will be very excited by his style of play.”
Lee’s home, away and third shirts are available to sponsor through the Club Shop.
