Additional Premier Sports Cup Games to be Streamed

Premier Sports has announced it will show an extra 25 group stage matches from the Premier Sports Cup from the start of this season.

The extra games will be streamed live on the Premier Sports streaming service, which costs £15.99 per month in the UK and forms part of a new three-year agreement between the broadcaster and the SPFL.

Today’s announcement is in addition to the previously announced five live TV broadcasts from the group stages, bringing the total number of first round group stage live games up to 30. This includes every game involving teams from the William Hill Premiership.

Sky customers with a Premier Sports subscription receive complimentary access to the Premier Sports streaming service.

For those fans only wanting to watch certain matches from the group stages, there will also be a Premier Sports matchday pass at £9.99, giving 48hr accessto watch the extra group stage matches. The original five games picked for TV broadcast are not included in the matchday pass.

Those original five games picked for TV broadcast will continue to be broadcast on Premier Sports 1 via Sky, Virgin, Amazon Prime and the Premier Sports streaming service. Premier Sports will also broadcast all games live from the second round onwards, either streamed or televised, subject to Saturday 3.00pm blackout rules.

The news follows Premier Sports acquiring the rights to 20 games from the William Hill Premiership beginning this August and Premier Sports extending their Scottish Cup rights, in each case for the next five years. Over the course of the 2024/25 Scottish football season, Premier Sports will now be broadcasting more than 75 games across the three competitions.
