Raymond Edgar

All connected with the club were saddened to learn of the recent passing of former player Raymond Edgar.

A small, fast, skilful winger or midfielder, Ray joined Clyde from Queens Park towards the end of August 1980, and made 11 starts plus another 7 appearances from the bench in his single season with Clyde, scoring 3 goals along the way, against Forfar Athletic, Albion Rovers and East Fife.

With Clyde only managing to finish mid-table in Division Two, and obviously failing in their target of promotion, Ray was released at the end of the season.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Ray’s family and friends at this sad time.
