Chris Millar Appointed Assistant Head Coach

The club is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Millar to the role of Assistant Head Coach.

The 40-year-old recently hung up his boots after a long and successful playing career, which started with Greenock Morton in 2003. Chris then spent a decade with St. Johnstone, where he won the Scottish Cup in 2014 and played in Europe. He then returned to Cappielow and reached the milestone of 600 professional appearances, before turning out for East Kilbride, Kilwinning Rangers and Troon.

Chris commented:-

“I’m really excited to join the club and embark on the next stage of my career. Brian is someone I know well and we spent a few years playing together at Morton. We spoke on the phone after the recent backroom changes at the club and he was trying to bring an assistant in; I knew right away that I wanted to come in to fill that role and I can’t wait to get started.”

Brian McLean’s backroom team has also been expanded recently with the addition of John Chisholm to the position of Sports Scientist.
