Chairman’s Pre-Season Statement

Ahead of a new league campaign I want to thank the owners and supporters for your continued backing of the club during the close season. That is not easy when relegation occurs but the commitments made by many have been vital.

As stated at the end of last season, our main priority is to return to League One and be truly competitive there at the next time of asking. Hence our desire to build a structure that provides long term success as well as results in the immediate future. Through the coming months, we hope to make significant strides on our journey back to Glasgow. Both success on the park this season and the longer term vision are critical to the future of the club, but we are not letting either of these objectives distract us from the other.

As you will have seen from recent announcements, the board, like the playing squad, is evolving incrementally. As we begin the league campaign, neither process is complete. All recognise that. Throughout the club, we are always looking to strengthen and identify those willing and able to play a bigger role in achievingour ambitions. As these developments are confirmed we will keep owners updated.

Although the League Cup campaign has not given us the launchpad for the season ahead that we would have liked, make no mistake, our aim for this season is promotion, and we begin the league campaign confident that we can put in place the resources to succeed on and off the park.

Your continued support is essential for that success, and greatly appreciated.
