PREVIEW: Clyde v Annan Athletic

The Bully Wee will need to overcome a two goal deficit this evening if they are to remain in cinch League One next season, as Annan Athletic travel to New Douglas Park for the second leg of the playoff final.

Jim Duffy again has a number of injury concerns, with Kyle Doherty and Cameron Salkeld doubtful after missing Tuesday’s match.

The Clyde manager spoke ahead of the game:-

“For a good part of the game on Tuesday I thought we played pretty well, but in the latter stages, particularly after losing the second goal, we got the stuffing knocked out of us and had a few tired legs, and Annan took advantage of that.

“The one thing I can never put against the players is a lack of effort, commitment or desire. We have that in abundance and will show it again tonight. It will be our last game of the season and I can assure you we will give everything to try and overturn the deficit.

“Your support has been vital this season and we all appreciate it. Once more I’ll ask you to give the players as much encouragement and backing as possible from the stands to help spur them on.”
