Crownpoint Consultation Release

Clyde FC Community Foundation’s bid for Crownpoint has now moved into a new phase with the launch, this week, of its local community consultation. Over the coming weeks the Community Foundation, through a professional consultancy, will be reaching out to community representatives, local groups, third sector organisations, businesses and of course the wider community to seek their views on what our charity can bring to their area.

This consultation is a key component to the final submission which will be delivered to the Council by the closing date at the end of June. We are confident that our final submission will be a bold and achievable vision of a revitalised complex which will transform the amenities and opportunities available to the community.

Through this consultation, we will be looking to gather evidence of those needs and aspirations of the local community for the site. In footballing terms, understandably, our support will focus on a new home for the club. But the strength of the Community Foundation’s bid lies in its ability to deliver not just on professional and grassroots football but on a wide range of sports and other activities for which the site has potential.

All at the club who has been closely involved in this project are looking forward to hearing the views of the community, and meeting them at events which are being planned for the beginning of May. Details of these events, and an online survey for interested parties to participate will be announced shortly.
