Rab Moore

All at the club were saddened to learn of the passing yesterday of lifelong fan Robert ‘Rab’ Moore.

Rab was first taken to Shawfield as a child along with his younger brother Alex by his Clyde supporting father and instantly fell in love with The Bully Wee. There was a special place in his heart for Shawfield but he would travel anywhere to watch Clyde play and made many fond memories on away days with his friends.

He was also delighted when his own children Bob and Michelle started attending matches with him, and in recent years grandson Ally was also at his side to cheer on Clyde. His favourite game was the victory over Celtic in January 2006.

Rab was also a very popular member in the Glasgow Branch of Clyde supporters and served on the committee. Despite mobility issues in recent years Rab still travelled on the Branch bus regularly and was usually seen sporting his famous Clyde bunnet.

The condolences of all at the club are with Rab’s family and friends at this sad time.
