Jordan is cinch League 1 Player of the Month
Jordan Allan has been named cinch League 1 Player of the Month for November.
The striker rose to the top of the league’s scoring charts after bagging doubles against both Dunfermline Athletic and Falkirk, as Clyde picked up their first points since August. Jordan has found the back of the net 9 times so far this season.
He spoke to the official website after picking up his award:-
“It’s a bit of a surprise but I’m glad to pick up an award, it’s always good to get recognised whether part of a team or individually. I set myself a target for goals at the start and I keep reviewing that and I know my target for the end of the season. I’m not going to reveal that publicly but I’ll just keep taking things one game at a time!
“Things have been good since Jim came in; I’m enjoying training and his methods and what he’s working towards, such as formations and phases of play he wants us to focus on. Obviously it’s a short period of time to try and do all of that at once but everyone is buying into it and we’ll see where it takes us.”
Jordan also had a message for the Clyde support after establishing himself as a fan favourite:-
“The fans come in their numbers every game and make themselves heard and it’s great to hear your name being sung in the stands. Hopefully we can keep them singing as we all appreciate the support and send them home with smiles on their faces.”
Jim Duffy also commented:-
“I’m delighted to see Jordan be rewarded for his form with the Player of the Month award. In the few games I’ve been involved in he’s been terrific; his enthusiasm and energy has been great and his quality has been there for all to see. To score two goals against both Dunfermline and Falkirk says a lot about him as those teams don’t give up goals lightly.”
