Graham Macfarlane
All at the club were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Graham Macfarlane, an integral part of the Clyde team for almost the entire decade of the 1960’s and into the early seventies.
Between his debut against Montrose in August 1961, and his last game against Dundee in April 1971, outside-right Graham played 242 games, scoring 48 goals along the way. He was inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame as part of the 1966/67 team that finished third in the Scotland’s top league and reached the Scottish Cup semi-final. He was also part of the squad which toured Rhodesia in 1969, and scored seven goals across the club’s 10 game undefeated tour.
A full tribute to Graham will appear in the Clyde View match programme for the game against Montrose on the 8th October.
The sincerest condolences from all at the club go out to Graham’s family and friends at this sad time.
