NEW SIGNING: Peter Grant

The club is pleased to announce the signing of centre-back Peter Grant.

The 28-year-old began his career with Peterborough United before joining Falkirk in 2014. He enjoyed four years with The Bairns, scoring in the 2015 Scottish Cup Final.

The defender then had spells with Plymouth Argyle and Carlisle United, before returning to Scotland with Greenock Morton and Queen’s Park, and helped The Spiders gain promotion to the Championship last season.

Peter is the older brother of current Bully Wee midfielder Ray, and has signed a one-year contract with the club.

“Peter has a great football pedigree, having played most of his career in the Scottish Championship, as well as his career taking him south of the border to Leagues One and League Two in England. He ticks all the boxes in terms of ability, experience and character in a key position for the team.

“He has worn the captain’s armband for other teams and will be a great leader for us. I am absolutely delighted that he has chosen to play his football this season in a Clyde jersey and look forward to working with him throughout the season.”
