Josh & Ross Sign New Contracts
The club is pleased to announce that Joshua Bradley-Hurst and Ross Cunningham have signed new one-year contracts ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
Goalkeeper Bradley-Hurst made six appearances for The Bully Wee after joining from Dumbarton last summer and kept one clean sheet, against East Fife in March.
Cunningham will now enter his third full season with Clyde, having initially joined on loan from Hamilton Academical in February 2020. The attacking midfielder has scored 7 goals in 57 appearances so far, and won the club’s 2021-22 Goal of the Season award for his long range strike at Bayview in September.
Danny Lennon spoke to the website after the duo put pen to paper:-
“We are really blessed with two excellent goalkeepers at the club for next season. Joshua has youth on his side and has a lot of potential to develop. He put in some excellent performances when given his opportunity this season and I have complete confidence that he will push Neil Parry for a starting place in the season to come.
“We are delighted that Ross has chosen to continue his football journey at Clyde. He is young and has a lot of potential to fulfil yet. He has great pace and technical ability. I firmly believe if Ross continues to push himself hard he will develop into a player who really hurts opposition defences. I’m excited for what Ross can achieve in a Clyde jersey next season.”
The club can also confirm that Monday Samuel will leave Clyde after the expiry of his contract. The Nigerian midfielder appeared in all six of The Bully Wee’s remaining cinch League One matches after penning a short-term deal in March, and scored a hat-trick against Partick Thistle in the City of Glasgow Cup. All at the club would like to thank Monday for his efforts and wish him the best for the future.
