PREVIEW: Montrose v Clyde

Clyde travel to Angus in cinch League 1 action as we take on Montrose at Links Park.

The previous meeting between the sides at Links Park had a dramatic ending with The Bully Wee coming from 2 goals down with a minute to go to draw 2-2 thanks to Ally Love and Robert Jones. Montrose won the most recent clash between the sides, as they ran out 5-0 winners at Broadwood.

Barry Cuddihy and Ross Cunningham are back in the squad for this game, but Danny Lennon will be without Paul Kennedy and Kevin Nicoll, who are injured, and Lewis Jamieson after his red card last weekend.

Danny Lennon spoke to the official website ahead of the game:-

“It’s been a long week, there has been a lot of soul searching after the last result. We have all got to be a unit and stay together collectively. I thought that the squad was unrecognisable last week from recent matches, and we are determined to put that right tomorrow.

”We need to make sure that from the very first kick of the ball that we’re difficult to beat and we need to compete and be at our very best. We face a difficult challenge against a Montrose side who have done well so far this season, but they also took a hit last week. The game will be decided by whoever is hungrier and looks to make things happen, we need to make sure that is us.

We are up for the challenge, and we need to bring maximum energy and desire throughout the entire 90 minutes to give us the best chance of taking the three points.
