Squad Update

The club can provide an update on two players ahead of the new season.

Harry Robinson will leave Clyde after it was mutually agreed to terminate his contract. The winger, who joined the club last month, will relocate to Dubai after receiving a new job offer.

Danny Lennon said:-

“Harry has been given an opportunity of a dream job abroad outside of football. This club is all about helping people move forward in life. On a personal level, I’m delighted for him and wish him all the best.

“From a football point of view, he’s worked ever so hard in preseason and would have been a real asset for us. This opens up another spot in our squad and an opportunity to bring in another player who can shine for this club.”

One player extending his stay at Broadwood is defender Aidan Cassidy, who has agreed a new amateur contract for the campaign ahead. The 18-year-old joined The Bully Wee last season and featured in both Broadwood Cup games at the weekend.

The Clyde manager added:-

“We’ve had Aidan at the club for a while now. He is progressing nicely and getting closer to competing for a place. He featured in our pre-season games and showed up well. We are delighted he has chosen to continue his development here at this great club.

“As with all young players, the majority of what he achieves in football is in his control – how hard he works, how he looks after his fitness, how he listens to the coaching and how he applies what he learns. We look forward to playing our role in his development in the year ahead.”
