NEW SIGNING: Paul Kennedy

The club is pleased to announce the signing of former Celtic midfielder Paul Kennedy on a two-year deal.

The 20-year-old left The Hoops in the summer after coming through their academy, and captained the side in the 2019 Scottish Youth Cup Final.

Kennedy featured as a trialist in the Broadwood Cup at the weekend, and set up a David Goodwillie goal in the match against Albion Rovers.

Danny Lennon spoke to the official website after capturing Kennedy’s signature:-

“Since he has arrived here, Paul has shown all the qualities we need in a dynamic midfield player. He has clearly been coached well, and you can see this reflected in his technical ability, his vision for a pass, his awareness of everyone around him and his execution of the instructions given to him.

“He has played a strong role in our pre-season games, in and out of possession. We believe he will make a significant contribution in a formidable Clyde team, ready to more than match the challenges ahead, in what is shaping up to be a very competitive and exciting season.”
