Rumsby Agrees New Deal
The club is pleased to announce that Scott Rumsby has agreed a new contract with The Bully Wee for the 2021-22 season.
The defender joined Clyde in 2018 and reached the milestone of 100 appearances for the club towards the end of the season.
Speaking to the official website, Danny Lennon said:-
“We gave Scott some extra time to confirm his decision due to career opportunities in his day job, which he had to consider seriously. It shows a lot about his commitment to this wonderful club in that he has put that to the side to make himself available to play next season.
“With over 100 appearances for Clyde, Scott has contributed a great deal to our success over the past three seasons. For example, last season he was at the heart of the defence helping us to achieve clean sheets against the likes of Ayr United, Peterhead, Dumbarton and Forfar. We are looking to build on those successes in the season ahead and I know that Scott will make a strong contribution to the cause.”
In other squad news, the club can confirm that Marky Munro and Kristoffer Syvertsen have been released following the expiry of their contracts, whilst goalkeeper David Wilson will also leave The Bully Wee after turning down a new deal to seek regular first team football elsewhere. Everyone at the club thanks the trio for their efforts during their time with Clyde and wishes them well for the future.
The list of players currently contracted for the 2021-22 campaign is: Aidan Cassidy, Barry Cuddihy, Ross Cunningham, Mark Docherty, Morgaro Gomis, David Goodwillie, Ally Love, David Mitchell, Kevin Nicoll and Scott Rumsby.
