Love and Nicoll Agree New Contracts

The club is pleased to announce that Ally Love and Kevin Nicoll have agreed new contracts with The Bully Wee, ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

Ally joined Clyde in 2018 and has gone on to make 99 appearances for the club so far. Kevin’s first spell at Broadwood began in 2017 – following an earlier loan stint – and the midfielder made 85 appearances to date.

Speaking to the official website, Danny Lennon said:-

“We are delighted to have secured the signatures of Ally and Kevin for next season.

“Ally has become a real talisman for the club, scoring many important goals. He was also ‘king of the assists’ for us this season, defended very well from the front and he brings tremendous enthusiasm.

“I am big enough to say I was wrong to let Kevin go after we were promoted. We haven’t replaced him since he left the club. He has great character, brings the best out of the players around him and provides a bit of steel that we need in our midfield. It is no coincidence that since Kevin’s return, our defensive record greatly improved.

“These are great Clyde players. They have proved that in their time at this wonderful club and we look forward to what they will do in the Clyde jersey next season.”
