Final Lottery Draw Before Break
The Clyde FC Lottery has its closing draw on Wednesday, before the annual close season break.
The jackpot remains at £20,000 and entries can be purchased online.
Following the Wednesday 12th May draw, it will resume on Wednesday 7th July. Online plays, including multiple week entries, will therefore be available again from 30th June 2021.
Should the jackpot not be won on Wednesday, it will remain frozen at £20,000 until the 7th July draw.
Clyde director Gordon Nisbet said:-
“It’s hardly surprising to say that our lottery initiative, in the past year, has never experienced so many hurdles to overcome. The impact of Covid-19 meant the loss of matchday sales and the closure of most of our ticket sales outlets for long periods. Also, following the second lockdown, the physical difficulties in conducting the Wednesday draw and the subsequent check threw up all sorts of challenges for the lottery team, as we endeavoured to uphold the strict Covid guidelines.
“So, on behalf of the club, I personally would like to thank the small lottery team and our agents – all volunteers and not all Clyde supporters – for their weekly commitment, wholeheartedly given. Some, like myself, who have been involved since the launch back in December 2003.
“Yes, our fiscal return for 2020-21 will be reduced. Increased online sales have helped minimise the loss but without the efforts of the aforementioned and of course our regular entrants, the results would have been a whole lot bleaker.”
