End of Season Awards

Following the conclusion to the 2020-21 season, the club can now give an update on end of season awards.

Player of the Year

Traditionally, the club’s main Player of the Year award is voted for by supporters in attendance at a home match near the end of the campaign. With this not being possible, for a second consecutive season, an online vote will instead take place.

Club owners and season ticket holders can place their vote by emailing poty@clydefc.co.uk with their chosen squad member. Please include your name to validate your vote. The deadline is Friday 21st May.

Website Player of the Year

The Website Player of the Year trophy is awarded based on Man of the Match votes made by club owners throughout the season. Given the total points after 29 competitive matches across all competitions, David Goodwillie has been confirmed as the winner of the award.

The top five players were:-

1. David Goodwillie – 29 pts
=2. Tom Lang – 15
=2. Kevin Nicoll – 15
=4. Craig Howie – 13
=4. David Mitchell – 13

To view the complete list, as well as all the other end of season facts and figures, visit the Statistics page.

Congratulations to David!

Goal of the Season

Voting for the club’s Goal of the Season will take place in the usual way, via an online vote. This will open in the coming days, with the shortlist of eight goals being revealed. Look out for a separate update on the website soon.

Presentations

Confirmation of the physical presentation of awards – including other branch/club organised awards – will follow.
