PREVIEW: Peterhead v Clyde

Clyde’s run of away fixtures continues tomorrow with another trip north, this time to face Peterhead in League 1.

The Blue Toon won the previous fixture between the sides this season – 2-0 at Broadwood in October – and currently sit fifth in the table after a good recent return.

Tom Lang will be unavailable for the next few matches after picking up a head injury in Saturday’s match at Montrose. However, fellow centre half Craig Howie will return to the squad after missing the weekend game due to a minor hamstring problem.

Danny Lennon spoke to the official website ahead of the midweek clash:-

“The busy schedule continues; the fixtures haven’t been too kind to us but we can add that to our motivation of building on a positive performance on Saturday. We’ll take each game as it comes, we obviously still haven’t played a lot of football since the restart but we’ll take each positive and try to continue that in the next game.

“Peterhead always give us a challenging game, so we know what to expect. I’m very much looking forward to it – as much as they’re going well at this moment in time, we need to focus on our own strengths and continue to work hard in order to get more points on the board.

“That’s the aim until the end of the season. The only difficult thing that we have is the recovery period between games just now and we have to try and get as many players through as many games as we can as safely as possible, while picking up results. It’s as simple as that.”
