PREVIEW: Keith v Clyde

Clyde make the trip north this evening to play Keith in the Second Round of the Scottish Cup.

The Bully Wee last visited Kynoch Park in the same competition in 2017, when Clyde managed to record a 3-0 victory over the Highland League side.

Danny Lennon spoke to the official website ahead of the cup tie:-

“We always enjoy playing in the fairy tale of the Scottish Cup, the oldest cup competition in the world. It’s always nice to go to a place where we don’t encounter the opposition an awful lot, but it will be a very hard game.

“It’s important that we go there with the heads on and do everything in the right manner in terms of being professional and giving Keith the respect they deserve. We know they have players that can be dangerous on their day, if given that space and time, so we have to be ruthless.

“It’s also a good opportunity to get over the disappointment from Saturday with another game in quick succession, but we’ll have to work and play ever so hard to get the desired result that we want, to ensure that we get through to the next round.”

You can watch the match live via Keith’s streaming platform for an £8 pay-per-view fee. Click here to go to the Keith FC TV website.

As per 2020-21 competition rules, there will be no replay and in the event of a draw after 90 minutes, extra-time and penalties will be played as required to find a winner.
