Bill Goodwin

The club was saddened to learn of the passing of Bill Goodwin yesterday.

A lifelong Clyde fan, Bill was also a long-standing member of the Executive Club and was the co-ordinator between this group and the club, arranging the annual Player of the Year award on behalf of the members, while also liaising with the Board on various other initiatives.

He regularly travelled to away games, introducing grandson Samuel to the Clyde family and travelling all over the country with the youngster and fellow Executive member Gordon Gunnee, to cheer on The Bully Wee.

Bill passed away peacefully at his home yesterday following a short illness and, tragically, just days after the passing of his wife Verity.

He will be sadly missed by everyone connected with the club and by all who knew him.

The club’s thoughts and condolences go out to Bill and Verity’s family and friends at this very difficult time.
