Henderson Returns to St. Mirren

The club can confirm that Jay Henderson’s loan spell with Clyde has now ended, with the winger returning to St. Mirren.

The 18-year-old joined The Bully Wee in September and went on to make 6 appearances.

Speaking to the official website, Danny Lennon said:-

“Jay’s a terrific lad, with very good potential. It was a pleasure to work with and we thank him for his efforts. He didn’t get as much game time as he hoped and that was more down to me and the system we wanted to play, rather than him.

“However, I think any young player can always cash in on the experiences you get during a loan period and I hope that he can do that. We wish him all the best.”

Danny continued with the news that 18-year-old defender Aidan Cassidy has been added to the squad, on an amateur contract:-

“Aidan has been training with us this season and he’s worked extremely hard – he’s climbed mountains from when he first came in. He’s got good potential and an unbelievable attitude. It will take time for him to get to the right level, but he’s adapting and learning from our experienced players.”
