PREVIEW: Cove Rangers v Clyde
The Bully Wee will travel to Balmoral Stadium tomorrow to play Cove Rangers in League 1.
The match represents Clyde’s first ever meeting with Cove, who currently sit in third place in the table on 13 points.
Goalkeeper David Mitchell returns to the squad, whereas Martin McNiff remains doubtful due to an ankle injury.
Danny Lennon spoke to the official website ahead of the match:-
“Putting the goals aside, and I know that I’m repeating myself saying I’m disappointed in the manner that we lost the goals, there were many pleasing aspect of the Falkirk game that a 3-0 scoreline can deflect from. I think from the levels we’ve been at and what we delivered last week, there were good things in the game that we’ve worked hard on to bring into tomorrow’s match, and things that we didn’t do so well that we’re trying to eradicate.
“It’s a work in progress every week. We keep striving for the consistency that we’re demanding and I’m sure when we get the run of games we desire, we’ll turn good performances into results. That’s a mentality thing; you don’t have to be brilliant every single game to get results. A lot of teams have that consistency – we’re falling short of that at this moment in time but we’re working hard to put that right.
“Tomorrow will be a tough game. It’s a really competitive league, every week presents a hard challenge but the biggest challenge we have to overcome is ourselves.”
