PREVIEW: Airdrieonians v Clyde

The Bully Wee play their third game in the space of a week in League 1 today, with a short trip to face Airdrieonians.

The Diamonds have had a similar start to the 2020-21 season, picking up three points so far.

Cameron Palmer continues to be ruled out through injury, as Clyde look to bounce back from successive defeats to Dumbarton and Peterhead.

Danny Lennon spoke to the official website ahead of the match:-

“The games are starting to come thick and fast now and every one is going to be challenging, but these are the challenges that we want. We’ve not been at our ultimate best for long periods in the last couple of games but we certainly got a good reaction in the second half at Dumbarton and we want to kick on from that today.

“We’ve spoken about the quality we have in the team, but we have to work a bit harder and be smarter. Nothing is going to be handed to us on a plate.

“Today you have two teams wanting to get their seasons on track; you always want to start the marathon of a season well but not everyone can. Sometimes it can take a while for teams to get that bit of momentum and we’re hoping that our momentum starts today.”
