Nicoll Set for Clyde Return
The club is pleased to announce the addition of Kevin Nicoll to the first team squad.
The midfelder is, of course, returning to The Bully Wee following two previous spells with the club, most recently between 2017 and 2019 when he made 61 appearances and contributed to promotion to League 1 in the 2018-19 campaign.
Following that, the 34-year-old joined Stirling Albion, before a short spell with Cumbernauld United.
Although Kevin’s registration as an amateur can’t be completed until next week, he is available to take part in tomorrow’s match against Montrose as a trialist.
Speaking to the official website, Danny Lennon said:-
“Every squad needs a balance between youth and experience, steel and finesse, strength and speed. We’ve brought Kevin back to the club because we believe his experience, strength and steel gives a bit more balance to what is a very good squad.
“He is a terrific character and will help the younger players a great deal. He knows the set up here, understands what we are trying to achieve and cares about the club. The timing was right for both parties and we are pleased to have completed another piece of the jigsaw puzzle.”
