Joe Moves On
The club can confirm that Kitman, Joe Hayes has been offered and accepted the full-time post of Kitman at Premiership club St. Mirren.
Yesterday’s match against Montrose was Joe’s last in his role for The Bully Wee.
Joe, who joined the club in 2017, said:-
“It is a big wrench to leave both the club and the many great people here. It was not an easy decision but an opportunity that I could not turn down, which I’m sure most will understand.
“I’d like to put it on record how thankful I am to Clyde for not only allowing this move to go through so smoothly but also for everything the club has given me over the last few years. I have met so many good people who deserve so much credit for everything they bring to the club.”
Chairman and General Manager John Taylor admitted, “We are sorry to lose someone of Joe’s calibre, but we are also delighted for him. We knew yesterday was his last game and he got a fitting send off from everyone. St. Mirren will certainly benefit from the diligent and professional way Joe performs his job. We wish him well.”
Clyde Manager, Danny Lennon added, “Joe will be very sorely missed. You are fortunate to work with a lot of good colleagues in football but Joe is more than that, he’s a good friend. He’s been fantastic in the three years I’ve been at Clyde and we wish him and his family all the best.”
Assistant Kitman, Andy Quinn will step into Joe’s role.
