Club Update: Covid-19 Cases

Following the postponement of Saturday’s match at East Fife, the club can confirm that it continues to be in contact with the four players who tested positive for Covid-19, following the game against Montrose ten days ago. We’re pleased to report that all are doing well and they will continue to be monitored on a daily basis.

In addition, and on the guidance of the Joint Response Group (JRG), the other players required to self-isolate are currently doing so.

We can confirm that, following the players’ departure from Broadwood after the match on 21st November, the two planned training sessions last Tuesday and Thursday were cancelled and, of course, the squad did not come together for the scheduled match against East Fife on Saturday.

On the basis of the above, and as a result of the Covid-19 protocols in place, the club believes that the spread of the infection was minimised from the point that the first case was discovered.

Throughout last week the club was in daily contact with the JRG and continues to be so this week.

A further update will be issued ahead of the scheduled League 1 match against Forfar Athletic on Saturday.
