St. Mirren Duo Join on Loan

The club is pleased to announce that Jay Henderson and Josh Jack have joined Clyde from St. Mirren on a season-long loan.

Jay is an 18-year-old midfielder and Josh is a 19-year-old forward. Both players have recently been promoted to the first team squad at St. Mirren Park, after featuring for the Buddies’ reserve side last season, including a run to the Fourth Round of the Challenge Cup.

Clyde manager Danny Lennon said:-

“We are pleased to have acquired two players with bags of potential. I am very familiar with the high quality coaching of the Saints youth set up. The system there has made great contributions in the development of top-level players like John McGinn and Kenny McLean, whom I gave first team debuts whilst in their teens.

“Jay is a wide midfielder and Josh is a forward who can also play as an attacking midfielder. Jim Goodwin has high hopes for these players, who have joined his first team squad this season and have been on the bench for each of St. Mirren’s games so far this season.

“We look forward to working with these players and benefiting from their efforts in a Clyde jersey.”

The list of players currently contracted for the 2020-21 campaign is; Jamie Bain, Barry Cuddihy, Ross Cunningham, David Goodwillie, Jay Henderson, Craig Howie, Josh Jack, Chris Johnston, Mark Lamont, Ally Love, Michael McGee, Martin McNiff, David Mitchell, Scott Rumsby, Matthew Shiels and Kristoffer Syvertsen.
