McStay Leaves Clyde

The club can confirm that Chris McStay will not be returning to Clyde for the 2020-21 campaign.

Chris, 24, recently returned to Australia to live with family and he has decided to pursue other footballing options closer to home.

The midfielder joined Clyde in February 2018 and went on to make 87 appearances for The Bully Wee – scoring seven goals – and played a key role in the club’s promotion to League 1 last year.

Danny Lennon said:-

“Chris has decided to look elsewhere to further his football career. He has been a valuable contributor in our journey from the bottom of League 2 to the middle of League 1. He leaves with our gratitude and we wish him every success.”
