Danny Ready for Challenges Ahead

Clyde manager Danny Lennon has spoken to the official website, with pre-season training set to begin this week.

Unsurprisingly, Danny was delighted to be able to return to the Broadwood pitch with the rest of the first team group:-

“We are pleased that the wait is over and training can start in earnest for the upcoming season. These have been strange times, filled with tremendous uncertainty. The absence of football over the pandemic has given us all an appreciation of the fantastic opportunity and gift that football is.

“We have great facilities at this club, a tremendous fan base and a wonderful team spirit. I thoroughly enjoy working with the coaching staff and players at Clyde. We have created some great memories in my time here and we are looking to do everything right in pre-season to ensure we create more positive memories in the season ahead.”

Danny acknowledged that parts of the training schedule would be different to adjust to the unique circumstances, with further player additions also required in the coming weeks:-

“We will have to adapt certain aspects of training due to the pandemic and we will also be looking to complete the building of the squad in the weeks ahead.

“This presents us with a lot of work to do and personally I can’t wait to address these challenges to the best of my abilities. I’ll do all that I can to play my part, together with the incredible players and coaching staff here, to ensure we continue the forward momentum we have generated together at this great club.”
