Syvertsen Agrees New Deal

The club is pleased to announce that Kristoffer Syvertsen will be returning to Clyde for the 2020-21 season, after agreeing a new one-year contract.

The Norwegian-born forward joined The Bully Wee in October 2018 following a successful trial period and went on to play a significant role in the club’s promotion to League 1 that season.

Injury then meant that Kristoffer, 22, unfortunately missed the majority of the last campaign, but he has now completed his recovery following a period in Norway during the football shutdown.

Danny Lennon said:-

“Kristoffer was looking very good at the start of last season before the injury. He’s positive and unpredictable on the ball; the type of player that gets ‘bums off seats’. The lockdown period came at a good time for him – he’s been able to recuperate at home, work hard and get back to full fitness.

“We’ve kept in regular contact with him and we know he’s going to come back strong. He’s held in high regard by the coaching team and we look forward to working with him again to realise his potential. As well as his general play, Kristoffer can certainly take the burden away from David (Goodwillie) and others in terms of contributing with goals.

“He loves playing for Clyde and he now wants to repay the fans for the support and patience they’ve shown to him.”

The list of players currently contracted for the 2020-21 campaign is; Barry Cuddihy, David Goodwillie, Craig Howie, Chris Johnston, Mark Lamont, Ally Love, Michael McGee, Martin McNiff, David Mitchell, Scott Rumsby and Kristoffer Syvertsen.
