Davie Souter
All at the club were saddened to hear of the passing of former player Davie Souter on the 11th of March.
Davie, who joined Clyde in November 1964, became an integral part of the squad over the next six seasons or so. A versatile player, Davie probably epitomised the fundamental requirement of every player at the club to be adaptable, playing in every position barring goalkeeper during his time at Shawfield.
His place in the history of the club was cemented when, in 2014, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the very successful 1966-67 squad.
A full obituary will be published in a future issue of The Clyde View.
The thoughts and condolences of all at the club are extended to Davie’s friends and family at this difficult time.
