PREVIEW: Dumbarton v Clyde

Clyde travel to Dumbarton tomorrow night in Ladbrokes League 1, to play a fixture that was originally scheduled for January, but postponed due to wet weather.

In the two previous encounters between the clubs this season, both sides have managed 2-1 wins away from home after coming back from behind. The Bully Wee currently sit four points behind The Sons in the league table.

Danny Lennon spoke to the official website ahead of the midweek match:-

“I’ve watched Saturday’s game back and, although it was a really good performance from us, we’re disappointed that we didn’t get anything out of the game. In terms of the level of commitment, effort and the intensity the boys played at, we couldn’t have asked for much more – except a few goals

“The goal was a disappointing one to lose, as I felt we kept a great shape throughout the game, but we switched off for a second and they punished us; that’s what good teams can do to you. I thought the response was good though. There are a lot of positives to take from the game and hopefully we can build on that going into tomorrow.

“It’s a big, open pitch at Dumbarton. We don’t know what we’re going to get with the conditions, but it’ll be the same for both sides. We played well down there at the beginning of the season and took maximum points.

“The boys are working their socks off to try and turn the corner again. I’m sure if we keep that same level of performance and we have the depth of squad fit and healthy that we’ll turn it.”

Admission prices at the C&G Systems Stadium are; adults £16, concessions £10, parent & child under-12 £20, under-12 £8.
