PREVIEW: Airdrieonians v Clyde
Clyde return to Ladbrokes League 1 action tomorrow, with a short trip to the Penny Cars Stadium to take on local rivals Airdrieonians.
This will be the third meeting between the sides in the 2019-20 campaign and in both previous games the home team has picked up a 3-1 win.
Danny Lennon spoke to the official website ahead of the match:-
“We’re looking forward to getting back into league business. There’s nothing left to distract us or take our attention away from it in the run in between now and the end of the season. The pace will start to heat up and it’s important that we keep ourselves in that mix.
“Everybody is aiming to put together a positive run and build some consistency, to try and get into a final position in the play-offs. That’s certainly where our ambitions lie, but to get there we have a lot of work to do to catch teams ahead of us.
“We’re coming into a heavy programme and this is where the squad is going to be utilised and fully stretched. We’ll need everybody to play their part; none more so than the fans who have been absolutely fantastic.
“Tomorrow is a big game for us and we’re looking to finish the season as strongly as we can and see where the race takes us.”
