PREVIEW: Clyde v Stranraer

The Bully Wee’s first action of 2020 takes place tomorrow with a home match against Stranraer in Ladbrokes League 1.

It’s the third meeting of the sides so far in the campaign, with honours even following two convincing home wins.

For Clyde, Chris Johnston returns following illness. Midfielder Aaron McNeil, from the club’s Community Foundation, is also added to the squad.

Speaking this afternoon, Danny Lennon said:-

“Although last week was disappointing in terms of the final result, I didn’t think there was a lot in the game. We had plenty of possession, but we’ve got to be more ruthless with the chances that we create. Peterhead did that and got the points – that’s what good teams do.

“We know how challenging a game it will be tomorrow – we saw that in at our last meeting at Stranraer.

“I’d like to wish all of our supporters a Happy New Year and I hope that we get another great turnout at Broadwood tomorrow. There was a great atmosphere at the Airdrie match and it really helped the players to get over the line for the win.”
