PREVIEW: Montrose v Clyde
The Ladbrokes League 1 campaign continues tomorrow, as Clyde travel to Links Park to take on an in-form Montrose side.
Since their win at Broadwood in October, the Gable Endies have enjoyed a fine spell and are now chasing down a play-off spot at the top end of the table.
For The Bully Wee tomorrow, David Goodwillie and Ross Lyon are expected to return to the squad following illness and injury respectively. Craig Howie, however, continues to be ruled out.
Speaking to the official website this afternoon, Danny Lennon was keen to build on the positive aspects of last week’s draw with Forfar:-
“It wasn’t the final result we wanted last week, but the overall performance level was much better than the previous match against Dumbarton. When we get the ball down and play quick passes, we’re at our best and I felt that we did that for the majority of the game
“We’re probably playing the form team in the league tomorrow. They don’t concede many goals and we know what they brought to us in the last meeting at Broadwood.
“I’m generally happy with our performance levels and we’ve had four clean sheets out of five. We do need to start converting more of our chances at the other end; and that’s not just the forwards, it’s got to be right across the team, including from set plays.
“As always, I’m sure that we’ll get great backing from our travelling supporters and we might even get to see a few Santas, creating more great memories. I hope everyone has a safe and pleasant journey.”
Admission prices at Links Park are; adults £15, concessions £8, family (one adult, one child) £18. Clyde fans should enter via the Union Row turnstiles and segregation will be in place.
