PREVIEW: Clyde v Airdrieonians
Clyde host Airdrie at Broadwood tomorrow, in a pre-Christmas match between two local rivals in Ladbrokes League 1.
It’s the second meeting of the season between the clubs, with the visitors are currently in touch at the top of the table following a good spell of form.
Speaking ahead of the match, Danny Lennon said:-
“These past weeks have seen us on a run of tough results and on the receiving end of some harsh lessons in terms of learning what it takes to thrive in this League. Injuries have caused us to shuffle the starting line up much more than we would like and have contributed to our inconsistencies and loss of form both individually and collectively. However, now is the time for us to dig deep and show our character.
“Airdrie are pushing at the top end of the table and have shown good form most weeks this season. We look forward to the test they will provide. I’d ask our supporters to give your team as much positive encouragement as possible and enjoy the game.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone associated with Clyde a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year when it comes.”
