PREVIEW: Stranraer v Clyde

Clyde travel to Stair Park tomorrow, to take on Stranraer in Ladbrokes League 1.

Danny Lennon expects to have the same squad available that won at Falkirk last week.

Following the injury update the Clyde manager gave earlier in the week, he had further news on John Rankin’s progress when he spoke to the official website:-

“John has now had a small operation to remove the screw from his ankle. We now have to wait ten days for that to settle down before he can start running again. Hopefully this will fix the problem that has set him back and we will know better in a couple of weeks.”

Looking ahead to tomorrow’s match, Danny continued:-

“I thought last week was a very good afternoon’s work. I really liked our shape both out of possession and with the ball and we got our foundation right throughout the game, which brings the best out of us, there’s no doubt about that. The players took our points on board very well and we’re looking to build upon that again.

“We know tomorrow is going to present a very good challenge for us at a difficult venue and against a side we know has caused teams at the top end of the table problems. I’m expecting a very challenging game. Stranraer will be very motivated and hurt from the previous game at Broadwood.

“I’m sure Stranraer have learnt a good bit about us and have done their homework, but likewise we’ll try to bring our best, like we have in the majority of games this season. If we turn up with the right head on, we’re a good match for any team.”

Admission prices at Stair Park are; adults £15, concessions £10, under-16s £5.
