Squad Injury Update
Clyde manager Danny Lennon has provided an update on the status of squad members who have been ruled out of action recently due to injury or recovery periods.
Starting with John Rankin, who suffered a broken ankle in April, Danny said:-
“John has seen his specialist again and he will now go through a small procedure to remove a screw from his ankle. That is due to take place in the next week or two and, after that, we’ll start to have a better idea of when he can return.”
It’s been confirmed that Norwegian forward Kristoffer Syvertsen has suffered a setback, as Danny explained:-
“Further tests on Kristoffer’s knee have revealed a small tear, which might require surgery. We’re currently discussing our options as a club and how we can best progress his treatment.”
On Declan Fitzpatrick, Danny continued:-
“Declan is further down the line in terms of us having known exactly what his injury is for a while. He will also require surgery but that will hopefully be scheduled in very soon, to move his comeback onto the next stage.”
Tony Wallace and Alex Petkov were also missing from Saturday’s squad at Falkirk, due to illness and a groin problem respectively.
