PREVIEW: Clyde v Falkirk

The 2019-20 Ladbrokes League 1 season continues tomorrow, with Clyde taking on early pacesetters Falkirk at Broadwood.

It’s the first league meeting of the sides since 2005 and The Bairns come to Cumbernauld having enjoyed a good start to the season, undefeated in their first three matches.

Speaking ahead of the match, Danny Lennon said:-

“Falkirk are the league favourites and that’s no surprise given the resources and fanbase that they have. We’re aiming to show tomorrow that we can compete with them.

“We know that we’ve not had the start that we wanted in League 1 after promotion, but we feel that we’ve added more quality to the squad and it’s going to take some time to gel. Everyone has to rise to the challenges, standards and opportunities. We’ve already had some harsh lessons but we’ve learned from them and they’ll make us stronger.

“It’s going to take everyone – staff and players – working to their absolute maximum, but I believe in everyone at the club. It won’t be easy, but I’ve been through it at Cowdenbeath and we managed to get a back-to-back promotion after a slow start.

“We know there will be a great crowd tomorrow and it’s the sort of occasion that Clyde has been missing in recent years. As a player, you want to play on the bigger stage and against the best players. Our supporters have been fantastic already this season and although they might be outnumbered tomorrow, we’ll know where they are and I urge them to make as much noise as possible.”
