PREVIEW: Partick Thistle v Clyde

The Betfred Cup Group F continues this evening, as The Bully Wee take on old rivals Partick Thistle at Firhill.

It’s the first meeting of the clubs in seven years. Adding extra interest to the tie, The Jags are in contention to qualify for the knockout stage, following two wins a draw in their three other matches played so far.

For Clyde, no squad changes are expected following the defeat to Airdrie on Sunday.

Speaking to the official website, Danny Lennon said:-

“The games are coming thick and fast. We’ve now got the chance to test ourselves against a Championship team and we want to give a good account of ourselves and get a good result.

“We’ve got six new faces in the squad and they will need time to adapt to the chemistry we have and what we do at Clyde. Behind the scenes we’re all working very hard to get to where we need to be. We know where we are at the moment and the areas we need to work on and improve, both in and out of possession.

“We know what this fixture means. There’s added edge and especially as it’s been a while since the two clubs have met. We know what the game means to our supporters and they all matter to us, so we’ll be going out to do it justice for everyone.”

Clyde fans will be located in the Jackie Husband Stand at Firhill. Admission prices are; £12 for adults and £6 for concessions.
