NEW SIGNING: Craig Howie
The club is pleased to announce a new addition to the first team squad; defender Craig Howie from East Kilbride.
Howie, who turned 23 yesterday, has signed a two-year deal with The Bully Wee.
Craig is joining Clyde from the Lowland League champions, where he was named Player of the Year following Kilby’s successful 2018-19 campaign. He has impressed after being invited to join the club’s pre-season schedule and featured in the friendlies against Linlithgow and Alloa as a trialist.
Danny Lennon said:-
“We are delighted to get Craig signed up for the next two years. At 23, he has a lot of football under his belt, having reached 100 appearances for East Kilbride by the age of 20. He has already played against the likes of Celtic, Hamilton and Inverness in cup competitions.
“We have been pleased with what he has shown in his time on trial, demonstrating that he has a great set of qualities and the right character to succeed at Clyde. We see a great deal of potential in him and believe we have the right coaching team and senior playing staff to help him progress his career.
“Our transfer business is not yet concluded and we will continue to work incredibly hard to finalise a squad that we believe will meet the challenges of League 1 football.”
The following players are now committed to Clyde for the new season ahead:-
Barry Cuddihy, Kieran Duffie, Declan Fitzpatrick, David Goodwillie, Ray Grant, Craig Howie, Chris Johnston, Mark Lamont, Ally Love, Ross Lyon, Martin McNiff, Chris McStay, David Mitchell, John Rankin, Scott Rumsby, Darren Smith, Kristoffer Syvertsen, Tony Wallace
