PREVIEW: Cowdenbeath v Clyde

It’s the final weekend of the 2018-19 Ladbrokes League 2 season tomorrow, with Clyde travelling to Fife to take on Cowdenbeath still with a chance of winning the title.

Peterhead continue to be in pole position and a victory for The Blue Toon at Hampden would ensure that they win the league. However, with The Bully Wee just two points behind, there is still a chance of a final twist.

For Clyde, Dylan Cogill returns following a knee problem, with John Rankin the only member of the squad unavailable after his ankle injury last weekend.

Speaking to the official website this evening, Danny Lennon said:-

“We’ve been on a wonderful journey together as a club and we want it to continue. Form is important as it breeds confidence and we simply want to keep our winning run going. As I said earlier in the week, if that brings silverware, great, but if not we’ll continue on a different route.

“Cowdenbeath are a side that present a real challenge, especially at their home ground, and that is our focus tomorrow. We’ve tried to get the balance right at training this week, but the intensity was there.

“I want everyone to enjoy the occasion. These are the type of days that everyone is involved in football for and you’ve got to cherish them and learn from them, no matter the outcome.

“I wish all of our supporters a safe journey and I hope they enjoy it and give us that fabulous backing as always.”
