Pitch Upgrade at Broadwood
A planned replacement and upgrade of the Broadwood pitch is on schedule to commence on Monday 3rd June.
When completed, the project will provide a new 4G pitch, larger and relocated dugouts and technical areas and further upgrades to the players’ tunnel; all enhancing the matchday experience for players and fans alike, ahead of Clyde’s return to League 1 competition.
Due to the work, and pitch certification not likely to be completed until later in July, the club will play both of its home matches in the Betfred Cup competition at the Hope CBD Stadium – the home of Hamilton Accies.
The Betfred Cup group stage is due to commence on 13th July, with a draw date still to be announced.
Danny Lennon commented, “We have been working away in the background to finalise this arrangement. It was important to secure a ground with a synthetic surface and one that is relatively accessible to our fans, so I’m pleased with the outcome.”
