NEW SIGNING: David Mitchell
The club is pleased to announce its third new signing of the summer; David Mitchell from Falkirk.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper started his career at Ayr United, before moving to Stranraer and becoming the first choice stopper at Stair Park over a period of six seasons.
David subsequently moved to full-time football with Dundee and then Falkirk, where his appearances were more limited, and he has now ageed a one-year deal with The Bully Wee.
Speaking to the official website, Danny Lennon said:-
“One of the challenges we face in moving up a league is that we need to add players to our squad that have proven League 1 experience and a track record of displaying great ability too. Acquiring such players enhances our chances of thriving, instead of targeting survival.
“In David Mitchell we have added a goalkeeper who has experience of playing in all four tiers of Scottish football, including 100 appearances at League 1 level. He has the attributes that we have been looking for and we also believe that he is yet to peak as a ‘keeper. Our hope and expectation is to work with David with a view to having his best games in a goalkeepers jersey in his career to date in a Clyde shirt.
“We are delighted to have secured David’s services and I look forward to helping him perform to his highest standards throughout the season to come.”
