PREVIEW: Clyde v Annan Athletic
Clyde’s Ladbrokes League 2 campaign continues tomorrow, with a home match against fellow promotion contenders Annan Athletic.
The Galabankies have enjoyed an excellent run of form in recent months and sit eight points behind The Bully Wee in the play-off zone of the table.
No major changes are expected to the Clyde squad following Tuesday night’s win over Elgin City, with the match coming too soon for Kevin Nicoll to be involved and Jordan Stewart rated as doubtful.
Speaking to the official website today, Danny Lennon said:-
“There is still a lot of football to be played and we’ll continue to go out and do our best in every game, no matter where that means we end up in the table.
“It’s important that we stay focussed and continue to improve. No matter who you are or how well you’ve done, you should always be looking for improvement and that’s something that myself and the staff strive for. Some of the football we’ve played recently has been breathtaking, but I believe that we can do it for longer periods in matches.
“The players have reacted fantastically well following a setback a couple of weeks ago and that doesn’t surprise me, knowing them as I do.
“We’re looking for another great atmosphere at Broadwood tomorrow. Annan are on a great run and it will be a very competitive match between two teams in good form. Like us, they are also aiming to move up to the next level so we know how hungry they will be.”
