PREVIEW: Albion Rovers v Clyde

Clyde will make the short journey to Coatbridge tomorrow, for a pre-Christmas match against Albion Rovers in Ladbrokes League 2.

The Bully Wee are currently enjoying a six-match unbeaten run and will face The Wee Rovers for the second time this season, following a 1-0 win at Broadwood in September.

For Clyde, Ross Lyon returns to the squad following injury. However, Martin McNiff and Kristoffer Syvertsen are still ruled out and Kevin Nicoll will also watch from the stand due to a suspension.

Speaking to the official website today, Danny Lennon said:-

“There’s an expectation on Clyde at the moment, but it’s all about finding the consistency we need to keep getting the right results.

“Edinburgh and Peterhead are both on fantastic runs, but we need to be on their tails and ready to pounce. We’ve got to dig deep to challenge them and tomorrow will be no different.

“I thought it was a controlled performance last week and, after looking back at it, I think we deserved the win. It doesn’t matter when the winning goal comes as long as it does and we showed real character to keep going to the very end.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to wish the supporters and everyone connected with the club a very happy Christmas. I hope everyone stays safe over the holidays.”
