National Recognition for Powerchair Players

Players from Clyde Powerchair FC have been rewarded with National recognition, ahead of Scottish Powerchair’s first ever fixtures that are due to take place later this year.

A thirteen man squad has been named for a training event in Dundee at the end of October, including a very strong representation of six players from Clyde Alba.

Logan Mitchelson (Tayside Dynamos), Kieran Burns (Clyde Alba), Connor Colhoun (Glasgow Gladiators), Thomas Pettigrew (Clyde Alba), James Doull (South Ayrshire Tigers), Nicky Duncan (Tayside Dynamos), Eythan Galloway (Tayside Dynamos), Colin Shields (Clyde Alba), Ben Hetherington (Clyde Alba), Kein Speed (Tayside Dynamos), Connor McCole (Clyde Alba), Chris Jacquin (Lothian Wolves), Lewis McConnell (Clyde Alba)

Robert Sweeney of Clyde Powerchair said:-

“After winning the Powerchair Premier League last year, Clyde Alba’s players have again started the league in great form, with two wins and a 100% record after day one of fixtures.

“It’s great to see players’ hard work and performances being rewarded with a National call up, in the first ever Scottish squad. The whole country is represented with players from the North, East, South and West, which shows the growth in Powerchair football in the country.”

Congratulations to all the players selected.
