PREVIEW: Berwick Rangers v Clyde

The Bully Wee will travel to Northumberland tomorrow to take on Berwick Rangers in Ladbrokes League 2.

It’s the first meeting of the 2018-19 season for the two clubs, who have become familiar opponents in recent years. The Borderers are currently in eighth place in the league table.

For Clyde, goalkeeper Kieran Hughes is the only man missing through injury and is still a few weeks away from a return. Jack Boyle, however, comes back into the squad after missing last week’s match due to a back problem.

Speaking to the official website this afternoon, Danny Lennon said:-

“It’s a match that takes us back onto grass, which is a bit different for us, but I’m sure at this time of year the pitch will be in good condition. We saw what Berwick did at Broadwood on the last day of last season, so we’re aware of the strengths that they can bring.

“As well as matching the opposition every week, we always need to bring our own identity and style of play to the game and tomorrow is no different. We also need to keep the consistency that we’ve found in the last three matches.

“We’ll have a strong squad tomorrow and a strong bench. We’ve got players knocking at the door and ready to come into the team and over the course of the season, their chance will come and everyone will play a part. At the moment it’s up the players being picked to keep their levels high to stay in the team.

“I wish all of our supporters who are travelling down a safe journey and ask them to please make themselves heard!”

Admission prices at Shielfield Park are; adults £12, concessions £8, under 16s £2.
